I'm Cathy a freelance motion & graphic designer from Glasgow.
WHAT I DO
As a multidisciplinary designer,I specialise in creating motion design guidelines for brands and helping them communicate their identity through dynamic visuals. I love graphic design, typography and motion graphics and love when these things come together.
EXPERIENCE
I graduated 6 years ago with a 2:1 BDes Hons in Graphic Design from Edinburgh Napier University. Since graduating I’ve worked in a variety of creative roles working with an array of clients from worldwide global brands to smaller start up brands.
ETHOS
As a graphic designer I am constantly looking for new ways to explore. I try to keep my creativity alive by stepping away from the screen to generate fresh ideas. Through different methods of playful, meaningless activities like scanning in random objects to find fresh shapes, doodling, looking at broken take-away signs I have moments of realisation that can be born into original design ideas.
WORK ETHOS
When working with clients I feel that listening carefully to the requirements of the brief is essential. I will then go above and beyond to update the client with the design decisions. I like the client to feel like they are very much a part of the design process.
